GET INVOLVED IN THE PORTLAND CITYFEST SEASON OF SERVICE

In the months leading up to the Portland CityFest festival at Waterfront Park on August 22-23, 2008, hundreds of individuals, families, and corporations will volunteer at service projects throughout the greater Portland/Vancouver community. At the festival, everyone who served, was served, or heard about what happened during the Season of Service will celebrate all that is accomplished.

This is your opportunity to make a difference. How will you do it?

The Palau organization has also teamed up with the Christian Supply stores to present “information” booths for the festival in all of their area locations. If you want to get involved as an advocate, or just read one of the books we have recommended for this season, please drop by any of their stores to check it out.

Christian Supply will also be contributing 10% of all the sales on these displays to the Palau organization.

Please check back to this site regularly as we will be hosting book forums on the many books on these displays.

  1. Hey guys, Ryan Moffat here over at Good Shepherd. Quick thought on the season of service. At Good Shepherd we have decided to adopt our local high schools as our service project. We’re hoping to see a thousand people serve our local high schools this summer in our “summer of service” project. We wanted to do something that would really be something that our community could get involved with us and this is what we came up with. What are some of the projects that your Church has decided to serve in this summer? Let’s start bouncing ideas off each other. Thanks

  2. Ryan, awesome! This is exciting. Thanks for also taking the lead to reach our students through the upcoming Momentum Conference. That will be a great time to really get our hearts and minds synched up for an incredible season!
